CLEAN, 2nd place - Bridge Major
In ead's first design ($13 cheaper than
Ricleite's, $12 cheaper than Nick's) some cable touched the
train very slightly (it was actually that slight, I had to ask Gray for
support on the decision). Fortunately, ead was wise enough, to ask for
an inspection before the final submission. Only 24 hours later he
surprised me with a different and even cheaper design (accompanied by
an animated GIF documenting that there was no bridge/ship contact).
With this bridge ead was one of only two people to break the $16000
barrier. Well done, ead! In addition, this is the second time in a row that
ead wins the Bridge Major title and if you see below it's also
the second time he scored 2nd place in the dirty category: collecting
silver medals?
DIRTY, 2nd place - Bridge Mafioso
A very interesting design (and I admit, I like the idea
of a single pylon in the middle, but a right-sloped version seems more
promising to me); on the left side it's a bit similar to his
contest 13 silver medal dirty bridge. He even tried to apply this
technique to the right side between the cargo ships - and it works out
fine. A combination of the cheaper parts of RKone's and ead's
dirty bridges might be even more economical, so try it, watch and
learn. Congrats, ead!
On to... Bridge General and
Bridge Don!
