 Pontifex II Contest 10 Results

Introduction

Despite Pontifex II being a relatively new game, I got lots of contest entries once again - only slightly less than the last time - 52 bridges total, 48 of which were completely legit. The vast majority of the bridges were really good indeed, which surprised me a bit, since I think that building an efficient bridge in Pontifex II is significantly more difficult than it was in the first two games. Good job everyone!

Some people have submitted multiple clean bridges. What I did with those is as follows: If the cheapest bridge a contestant has submitted didn't improve his ranking, I took it. Otherwise, I put the cheaper bridge under 'disqualified'. For this and some other reasons, I think I need to stress this once more: Please read the rules carefully! Also, unlike the Bridge Builder contests, during Pontifex I or II contests, there's no need to hurry and submit your entry early, because there's very little chance you could tie with someone.

As always, any feedback on the contest is welcome. Please post your thoughts in this forum thread.

Each of the winners will get an eternal place in the Hall Of Fame (if he doesn't have one yet) once I get the necessary information from them.

The bridge cost discussion forum is no longer password-protected until the next contest starts.

For your reference, the rules/prizes page and the contest level file can still be found here.
