bridgebuilder-game.com fallen asleep - forum still open
As some of you might have noticed already, this website hasn't been updated for quite a long time. Therefore, here's an official posting: bridgebuilder-game.com has fallen asleep. The reasons are manifold. First, I don't have enough time. Second, I don't have enough motivation any more. Third, some of the bridge building enthusiasts feel the same way (e.g. organizing contests for 10 or less people results in an unsatisfying cost-benefit equation) ... Anyway, the forum is still online. So, if you want to share bridges, discuss the games or levels and everything else, you can do it there.
All the best and have a good time,
Guilderoy

BCS contest 31 started
After a long pause another BCS contest (#31) has started on Friday, 24th November. Naruto is our contest host and has prepared two intersting levels. The NORMAL one is quite easy but the HARD one is really tricky. The builder of the cheapest bridge in each category will win a full versions of any Chronic Logic game. A third game will be given away in a lottery. Everybody who submitted a working bridge will take part in the lottery. This means that even if you never entered a contest before, there's a really good chance you can win a prize this time! So don't be shy! Send in your bridges! The submission deadline has been postponed and the contest will end on Sunday, 16th December.

Contest 30 announcement - sponsored by ATI and Chronic Logic
The 30th BridgeBuilder-Game.com Contest is coming nearer! The contest will start on June 9th and run for one month until July 9th. The upcoming contest is a special for the big soccer championship in Germany [sorry, any other description is under strict supervision of lawyers and a international trademark ;-) ]. A first picture of the level leaked to the maintainer of this site ...
As always, there'll be a special contest demo of BCS -> everyone can enter! This means: You don't need the full version of BCS. Just download the demo for Windows, Linux or OSX, build the cheapest working bridge and win a Radeon® X1600 Pro 256MB PCIE for 1st prize in the 'normal' category or a Radeon® X1300 Pro 256MB PCIE for 1st prize in the 'special' category (BIG thanks to our generous sponsor ATI)! Additionally, we give away three full versions of any Chronic Logic game by lot. Just send in a working bridge for the level! So train your skills like the 32 participating teams of the FIFA World Cup 2006 [oops, did i actually write this?] or just wait until the contest starts. Your contest 30 host: Fuyyzlogik

BCS Contest 28 ended
Contest 28 is over and there were 50 valid normal entries, 6 expert bridges, 11 artistic bridges and another 25 second or disqualified entries. Apparently, expert bridges were very hard to build but architects also needed a strong machine to get reliable results. Anyway, this contest was fun and I already know who won ;) If you missed the contest keep track of this page - there'll be another BCS contest in spring. The next contest will be on the classical BridgeBuilder game and will start in a month or so. Contest 28 was free for everyone to enter. Chronic Logic has released a special demo that includes the contest level. The rules page is still online. The Contest has started on December 2nd and ended on Sunday 8th of January 2006.

As long as our own contest hasn't started yet, we recommend taking part in the 2005 West Point Bridge Design Contest, that will begin on January 6, 2005. U.S. students age 13 through grade 12 are eligible for prizes. Anyone else may enter the Open Competition. Solo (who is well know to those regularly visiting our forums) is currently on rank 15! Congrats! The 2D game is a bit different from the Chronic Logic games, in that you can move and add anchor points. Costs for excavation, abutment and addtional piers are calculated. Although there are less materials, you have various choices for their thickness. West Point Bridge Designer 2005 software is ready for download.
